I still vividly remember my first day of orientation at Hwa Chong. That time everyone sitting around me were still strangers. After I was put into a group,i got to know my buddies and my other group members. The first day of orientation was about ice breaking and learning the school cheers. The most memorable part of the first day was the water bomb fight between the two groups. The first day of orientation I also met a lot of my old friends from Marist Stella, my old primary school.

The second day had even more games than the first day but there was also a significant drop in the number of talks. The cheering competition was also on the second day. My buddies told me that past year's Sec 1 orientation was 3 days. As this year was a leap year we only had two days. My group was group 18. My buddy came up with an idea. His friend from group 16 had planned to do a cross cheer. But we were not going to go up together. After group 16 had finshed 1 of their cheers, my group rushed up to the stage and began the cheer. However this ac tion was not welcomed by the audience nor the judges.
