There is another sky,
Ever serene and fair,
And there is another sunshine,
Though it be darkness there;
Never mind faded forests, Austin,
Never mind silent fields -
Here is a little forest,
Whose leaf is ever green;
Here is a brighter garden,
Where not a frost has been;
In its unfading flowers
I hear the bright bee hum:
Prithee, my brother,
Into my garden come!
This is describing the sky where there is no darkness, cold or grief. The writer uses the vegetation which are affected by the wheather to ingeniuosly describe the weather itself. This is the use of metaphors. Where the sky is a forest, a leaf and a garden as described by the author. I like this poem because it carries a deeper meaning than most other poems. Another reason why I like this poem is because it shows how much the wrtiter actually wants and misses all the luxuries of warmth. It teches us to trasure whatever we have around us. And this poem is also written to a person named Austin. He uses plants and forests very intelligently to describe how beautiful the sky was.
